Airport X Rays

Do you all take your batteries out of your cameras at x ray machines in airports as well as your cards?

Have never taken battery or card out of Body at airport.

No Ive never done that but when I used films I always wrapped the films in tin foil well the boxes containing film

I never taken either out. Nothings happened to them...yet!

You'd still have to pass through the xray machine with them though, in or out of the camera. Mine have always been fine! I did once get a security guard ask me to take the camera out and take a picture so he could see it wasnt a dummy body with god knows what in it, so I took a picture of him next to the 'no photography' sign, to which he seemed happy with, lol!

Apparently, rules brought in January 2008, state that the batteries should be in the items that they power. If the batteries are not in the items, then you are only allowed a total of 8g lithium equivalent to be with you on the plane.
