Having to stick locally to go out to photograph has been interesting to explore things close to home. This was a pic I took in Alexander Park in Hastings, which I keep finding new things to enjoy. Amazing what you can find one your door step when 'made' to look :)

Your not far from me l. Not been in that actual park but many times along the front with the old fishermans tall sheds area. Must make an effort and walk "The Plank" sometime not been on it yet

@realspeed check out 'old roar gill' which is at the end of the park, amazing place (where this was taken)

Loved my childhood holidays in Hastings (we stayed in one of the old timber framed houses at the top of All Saints street) and would regularly fish in the buckshole reservoir at the top of Alexandra park. I also recall the RC boating club and firework displays there. Been up and down in the lifts a few times.

Somehow I suspect it's not *quite* the same now. :(

Well it is a great place to live (especially having the sea to walk on), but in the present situation & being a summer town, it's gona be really hard hit. We see what survives (my buisness included)....

We had a holiday there in another part of town about 15 years ago. Renting a house for a week was about the same cost as flying somewhere warm and eating out every night. It's very hard to find reasons to holiday in the UK these days, and I'm not surprised the town struggles.

Well, it won't survive for much longer, so thx for the support....
