That's wild.
I seem to remember from some documentary many years ago(20+) that birds around the world had started incorporating common mobile phone ring tunes into their calls. It was quite surreal hearing the sound of the old out of the box Nokia ring coming from the trees up and down the street. Not sure if its as common these days as custom ring tunes are a lot more the norm.
In the hide yesterday and the bird song was kicking off, I noticed Starlings in particular mimicking sounds. I thought a house alarm was going off but it wasn't, it was a Starling. One was doing a Lapwing impression.
We have a male Blackbird that sounds like it's singing the first few notes of the theme from The Good The Bad and The Ugly.
