Anbody used a 5D Mk1 and a 1DS Mk1

I've just paid for a 1ds as a back up / rainy day camera to my 5D.

I'm particularly interested hearing what others think of the comparable image quality of the two cameras.

I've not received the 1ds yet, but I can't fault the 5d.

A friend of mine has had both and sent the 1ds back, very bat at High iso's and eats batterys.

I've read about the high iso problem, what appeals is the 45 point AF for shooting sport in daylight. I certainly wouldn't want a 1ds as my only camera. Point noted about the batteries though.
