It's been an interesting weekend, late this afternoon we had this fella pop round for a nibble on the feeder.
Now, at first I thought it was a Yellowhammer, but it doesn't seem to have the dark head markings that I see in most pictures. Interestingly, it's ringed. I know that juvenile Greenfinches are often more yellow than green, but it was about the same size as my regular greenies, if not a little bigger, and as it was ringed, I doubt if it was a juvenile.
It's got a strange marking on the head, that can be seen in the first image.
Sorry for the quality, 200mm is not long enough :shake: and I was shooting through he front room window.

(I can't believe the state of the water in the last shot, that was put out fresh last night when I refilled the feeders.....)
