Another Osprey with a Fish!

That is a nice clean shot and pretty well composed too.

Cracking shot, hard to find any fault with it, superb.

Thank you. Its my favourite of the ones I've processed so far.

This trip to Aviemore could well end up costing me serious money so impressed am I with this lens!!

This is a great shot, good wing position, fish in full view, good bokeh, crystal clear eye and the composition finalises a good pic. The downside is two years ago this would have been an outstanding image worthy of a front cover, (in my opinion it still is), but the internet is now full of these images and they have lost their 'WOW' value to some extent. There are a plethora of images all over the internet taken at this location and it has 'diluted' the visual impact somewhat!

Thanks for the comments and of course you're right. Osprey photography has become very popular. There are loads of great images out there but for me the satisfaction is that after three years of trying I've got some that im really pleased with and now I can move on to something else.

To really stand out you need to capture something really different. These will have to do for now. :)

Thanks again.

Gary, I tend to stay away from the specialist bird sections on this and other websites as they can get very intense. I'm not seeing where this shot could be improved upon as it is a photo of a successful hunt, so isn't going to have the drama of the dive or splashdown, or even the struggle with a fish that's too big to be lifted successfully. It seems to me that you've caught the moment of success for the feeding of the parents and young, and you've absolutely nailed it!

This is stunning, truly a work of excellence! Looks like you got lucky with the light and really capitalised on your chances, well done to you! :)

Hi Graeme. Yes after three years of trying one fab mornings light. Just been looking at your flickr images. You've got some very nice images on there. On my phone at the moment so will have a better look later. And you had some luck with the dolphins. I'll have to go back for then some other time. Cheers
