Critique Arranging flowers

Took this photo of my better half in the Welsh cottage we stayed at a few weeks back (posted on here somewhere). Was a very bare place with some weird/odd furniture (hence the sign) anyways I quite liked this but not sure if it's just because it's my missus in the photo and we stayed there, so I thought I would run it by you guy's n gal's.

I think this works well, especially the blur of the left arm, I think this would work better if the cushion and chair on the bottom right were cropped out. I keep finding my eyes being drawn to that large dark corner.

Thanks Rob. I most likely have one without the cushion as this was shot on tripod (dark room plus I wanted some motion in the photo) so moved stuff around a bit at first.
