Ashopton Viaduct at Ladybower - Long Exposure

The bridge over Ladybower Reservoir, known as Ashopton Viaduct. I've had this shot in mind for a little while but unfortunately the sky was relatively flat/overcast with little cloud - just the odd break of blue sky. The water levels were also lower than hoped revealing more of the upright supports than I would have liked.

Just over 3.5 minutes at f8.0

Yep, I like this. Think it works well with a clear sky actually, the lack of clouds and long exposure give it a minimalist feel which works well. The lighting on the viaduct is great as well (y)

I quite like it. Its competely smooth whcih beats the ripples there, probably worth a B&W conversion. Ideally, a still reflection of the the viadcut at a higher water level would be better, particularly with these autumnal colours showing

Thanks Carl - appreciate the feedback

Thanks Steve - I wish the water was slightly higher too - will give the B&W a go later - I wasn't happy with my first go.

thanks Joe (y)

As per steve; nice! Did you see if the sinkholes were overflowing?

Thanks Joe

I didn't see the sinkholes but judging by the water levels they wouldn't be. The reservoir levels were a lot lower than I was expecting.
