We sold off some surplus stock on ebay but did not go for an auction sale of major plant etc.
Advice was that businesses that go to auction sale for disposals should expect to realise 10% of the value of the items. Doubt the camera gear will do that badly but there could be some stock for ebay profits here.
Just remember to allow 10% buyers premium and the 17.5% VAT when working out what to bid.
