Hi folks.
I just made a post and the words "second hand" auto linked to a site I wouldn't endorse (and it wasn't in reference to cameras, so it would have been useless anyway). I appreciate the fact that these partners are supporting the site so we can access it for free, but I don't want people to think I'm linking (and thus endorsing) when the server hamster did it.
Suggestions/Ideas :
- Put affiliate links in a different colour so people know it was the forum and not the poster that did it.
- Put a sticky somewhere with a list of words and what they endorse so that folks can choose if they so wish.
- Send some sort of notification to the poster that links have been inserted so they can redact if they like (along with a nice notice to link to the buy us a cuppa thing, or just to say that the forum is free, and our partners help us keep it so)
