autofocus on Canon 50D Help !

Hi
I am hoping someone can tell me how to get my camera back to focusing using the shutter button rather than the button on the back of the camera.
it works allright in the auto scene modes but once i go into the creative modes ie P, TV etc can only autofocus using the back button

Have you given it a go at using it that way as I didn't think I like it initially but I would never go back to now. It is worth trying it for a while as there are so many advantages with back button focusing particularly if the shutter button is set to AE lock.

not to sure on back focusing i may give it longer but at least i now know how to put it back
