Just a gentle reminder about backing up all those important files on your computer, just had a drive go down on my system which was only installed in April this year! :thumbsdown:

yes.. always always always have a separate USB/firewire/esata drive (not raid) with a 2nd copy of your data. and if possible another with a 3rd copy that can be taken/stored off site.

I personally have taken to buring it to DVD's - as soon as I am finish with something I just burn it now, saves me from worrying... what if my backup drive breaks too... and the backup for that one! Easy to do, just burn it once your done with them, takes time yes, but at least safe!

dvd's arent infalible.. scratches, dye fading etc etc.
