the last one has some very odd pink areas, under the eyes and on the child's left cheek??

Ah, that's my poor post-processing skills I'm afraid. It's a combination of my being colourblind and editing that photo on a naff monitor.

I was trying to remove the redness from around his eyes. I did this using the burn tool but I guess I overdid it here.

Is the burn tool the right method to achieve this?
