Two Hurricanes and two Spitfires temporarily based themselves at North Weald during last week's tour of former 11 and 12 Group airfields prior to the London flypast.
I make no claim at all to be an aviation togger - landscape is my normal thing, and I don't have any of those lovely long lenses - but I hugely enjoyed the occasion. So a record rather than any claim to photographic brilliance.
1. The lineup.
2. Polish marked Spitfire. No.1 Hangar in the distance still exhibits damage from the Battle of Britain on its doors.
3. Departing for the Duxford flypast.
4. 97 Gallons of 4 Star please. Refuelling after Duxford.
5. The "boys in black" tending their charges. Props need regular attention to seal against water ingress.
