I've only taken a few pics of couple other dogs before which came out c**p.

so i'm quite was chuffed with these photo's

What a pretty brendel-colored dog! And you have every right to be well chuffed with these photos. Focus is spot on and your background is blurred enough to no longer be distracting. Finally, your exposure is good...dark, shiny, sleek-coated animals are often tough to get exposed this well. Nice job.
