A series of pictures taken at this great museum. These are based on the Edwardian (approx 1913) period of a prosperous north eastern town.

If there is any interest I will add more pictures to this thread on a daily basis.

All pics taken with Sony dSLR and NEX.

Pics look much better if viewed at the larger size

An interesting set of pictures, At first I wondered about the processing but I think it suits them.

Would you care to tell what you did to them?

Love these pics and the processing is fantastic - would be interested to know the pp technique.

Apart from the black bag in the bin in the last you could really imagine being back in time. Lovely set and I also like the processing.

Like them all, well processed too.

Doh ! I missed the black bag in the bin.

Ok, here are some more (I have many)

Cracking set, are you going to reveal the secrets of your pp, would love to try it? :)

A little "oversatured looking 3D image" for my taste, but it's your choice and you do it well. I like the frame effect. And I like what you show! All in all, very good for me, I enjoyed to see your images. Thanks!

A stunning set and i hope you have plenty more to add, i also adore the PP you have done on these(y)

Great set with great processing :)

i'm not usually a fan of HDR but it works here ... not so keen on the fade out frames but can't fault the actual photography

How to make a well photographed subject different, Really good set Roy and great PP work.

Thanks to everyone for looking and your kind words. If you like what you see please return for your daily dose.

Hi Pete, depends on your definition of HDR ? by HDR some assume specialist software blending 2 or more exposures. These are all PP'd from a single raw file using PS and Topaz Adjust.

Ok more pics.

Love the images love the PP I was thinking adding a texture like canvass in PP, could enhance these even further :shrug

I love them all - well caught & thanks for sharing

Les

You were a very busy bee that day :)

PP works very well for the subject matter, gives it an 'aged' look and the photos themselves are very well shot with lots of interest.

Hi Roy,
Yes I was there for that night..thought I recognised some of the scenarios..I've got some similar shots just not quite as good as yours !! It's nice to get the opportunity to shoot without the crowds there isn't it.

Thanks again everybody.

Liz, not all this series (more to come) was taken on that photographic evening. I love Beamish and have been more than once. I do not take the picture if I cannot get an uncluttered background ! however I have been know to 'clone out' the odd intruder but as you are no doubt aware there is a limit.

Superb set and images, Topaz Adjust is a cracking piece of software.

I've not come across topaz before - is it a stand alone or a plug in ?

( I must admit until I saw roys reply above I thought these were HDR'd out of multiple images)

I'm not usually a fan of this sort of processing , but it really work here - if I was running beamish I'd be after the right to use these on merchandising material (y)

Thanks moose (may I call you moose ? ) I think I like you

I use Topaz Adjust as a plug in for PS not sure if they do a standalone version. I also use Topaz Denoise which is excellent noise removal software (imo)

Enough banter: today we are going to the dentist (1913 style) I'm betting a pretty painful experience.

Please excuse the framing on these, these were very small rooms and I was in a small posse unable to move about.

Yes I'm still looking, please keep posting some, the last one of the vintage red car is gorgeous.i like the corset advertising sign too. I'm hoping to get to beamish soon, I've not been since April. I must admit i love all the enamel advertising signs they have dotted around the place, I can spend hours wandering about looking at those.

super set of images, Beamish is only 15mins from where I live but I missed this day, won't miss the next.

Thanks for keeping up folks, here are some more:
