Beauty and the beast.

I recently went to a local orchid meadow which was beautiful with an abundance of orchids in bloom.

And then the beast, a Roman Snail.. this creature had a 2" shell and was at least 4" extended.
They are pretty rare and they say that you can eat them ...no thanks.

Snail number 1 looks good, great detail on shell and skin.

No.1 and 2 are very nice am not keen on the snail shots.

Yeah not to keen on the snails myself but just for the rarity I put them up.
