I was informed that there was Beaver on the river Ericht near Blairgowrie. Early morning (04 00) Thursday I travelled thru to Blairgowrie not that optimistic seeing one. How wrong, as soon as i arrived there was a male Beaver eating near the opposite bank. Within 5 minutes the kit turned then the mother. They started self and mutual preening/cleaning, which went on for 30 minutes before they returned to their lodge for day.

I've never seen any beavers in the flesh, so that must have been joyous. Very jealous.

Lovely, especially the youngsters. You get them at Loch of the Lowes, so same area - ish. I've watched one there having a face off with a swan. Until then I'd never appreciated just how big they are. We have them fairly local to me but I've never been there at the right time of day to see one.
