bees & hover

Not seen many hovers around so was pleased with this, not really noticed the upright bits on their wings before??,
and was so excited to find the bee(s) these just have the best eyes - the last one I had to dismantle the mpe flash heads
to get some light down the hole...Over exposed th outer wood but thought it was nice to see tucked up away from the rains.

I love the amount of detail the bees have in them when you get such a close look.

I'd agree with cobra about them being a great set of images and number 2 is also my favourite. In my opinion I think number 3 would be better if it was cropped a bit less tightly so that more of the bees body is in the image as at the minute although I love the detail in the bees head the crop is distracting me as I keep expecting to see more of the bee out of focus (If you understand what I'm saying?).
