Two very good shots there Brash, difficult bright lighting and those white petals and blooms are well controlled and the exposure on the insects is pretty dam good. Nice sharp focus on the eyes, not like you to post macro, you gone of the feathered kind of images?

Nah, I've doing Macro for years and post here regularly from time to time. Just seems at this time of year and with work commitments there's currently more opportunity for me with Macro than birds.

For me, the bright background in #1 and the overexposed petals in #2 detract from the subjects.

Really like the angle in the first one and nicely lit
agree with Mark on the second one the petals do detract a bit but the fly is really sharp with good light
