Beginners view of Pegwell Bay

As the title says I am a beginner and have enjoyed the ownership of my new camera for one week now. My only disappointment is that I did not get a camera earlier!!

These shots, my first ever with a DSLR Camera were taken Tuesday whilst walking the dog. Three hours later with ne tired dog and two hundred images captured I found myself hooked!!

Having dragged myself home to view the images I had taken, I thought I would post here for feedback, help, hints and tips!

no. 1 by a long way, it has sufficient depth and contrast. You've caught the light well and a pretty good effort particularly for a 1st set!

The other 2 lack just a little oomph. but not too bad.


Well done for ploughing through 200 images too!

Yip, agree with that. The light reflecting on the water makes the pic.

i like the forground in #3 better , its just the moody sky in #1 carrys the picture more i think

A vote for 3 here, the foreground interest, combined with the detail in the sky, reflections in the water and the low sun make it the winner.
