Bird Challenge #12 "Dinner time" Voting now started!!!

OK, Cuddy and I have come up with a new theme for challenge #12. This time it's "Dinner time".

Hopefully, considering the time of year there will be lots of chances for people to get some great shots.

Photos should comply with the usual size regulations and must have been taken between 9th and 31st May 2010.

One entry only please although you may re-edit or replace your entry as often as you like, up until the closing date of 31st May.

Ok, here is one from me. Quite liked the nice soft background on this on although i would have prefered more DOF but at least i got the shot off.The bird has just leaned forward and picked this from the branch in front lol.

Taken today in the Tsavo National Park exhibit at Chester Zoo. Little fellow had beautiful colours and didn't mind me getting quite close. (I didnt fed him I was lucky enough to be there as the Zoo Keepers fed all the birds).

The images in this thread are simply stunning.

I'm not sure my effort is worthy in such company but here goes - a shot from this morning's walk.

I could see & hear a desperate mother but couldn't work out what was going on until I turned and saw this. Could've used more depth of field but just had time to grab a shot with the settings I had (I was shooting a tree creeper in dark foliage).

Definitely 'dinner time' for this chick, though maybe not quite as expected.
