They seem to be lacking a real subject or any kind of compositional considerations. The dark areas are too dark for no real reason; these don't work for me at all.

The first one has more potential although both I think are a bit too wide and appear a bit record ish rather than having much going for them compositionally. The loose branches in the second sticking up at the bottom of the frame in no 2 detract a bit and the blacks at that resolution just look crushed.

I think there's a decent image within the first one going closer in on both the right hand or the brighter yellow patch middle left.
