They're great Matty, really sharp and alive. Presumably taken with your 600 attached? I still haven't managed to see a bittern - I must try to get over and see you at Minsmere sometime.

Did you get your new camera at FOI this year?

Well the Bittern likes the camera:D

So do I

Regards

Mike

Cheers Mike

Fantastic images, the new camera seems to be working OK. Looks like you had a great view of a really shy bird.

Thanks, Yes it was quite obliging

Hey Ken,
No i got it at Mifsuds yesterday. Yes get over to Minsmere this year and we can have a day out, Probably be more productive than our Lackford trip

Superb colours...alas I only get the chance of these in winter light!

Looks like you are getting to grips with it a excellent set of shots to start with
(y) what lens were you using out of interest

Thanks everyone, Much appreciated,
Richard it was my 600mm F4 is with 1.4 converter. Just used a beanbag to rest it on.
It was at quite an awkward angle but pleased with the Camera so far.

Snap my 1D mkiv mounts on the 600mm F4 i.s on the tripod and the 7d normally has the 300mm f 2.8 i.s mounted slung from the shoulder i purchased 2 1.4 extenders it saves swapping them about

Richard

What super captures of such an elusive bird.

If you never manage to master the Mk 4 then a home is waiting.

Just outstanding images....all that detail ...stunning.
