a walk around a local leisure housing area and was surprised to see this bird as according to the books it is right on the edge of it's expected range
The bird was hopping around in a "hacked" tree and I just could not get a good background - I think that is apple in it's mouth so it must have found a feeder in a local garden
As is always the case in a S African summer the light was very strong today and you are always fighting the highlights and shadows
