Very well done Mike. Another superb image thanks for sharing. I am completely new to the world of insects and macro. I find myself spending more and more time following the fantastic photographers on this subject. When you identified it as female I googled to find how to tell a male from a female. Info says its in the colouring but also said females and immature males have similar colouring. Please can you help to increase my knowledge by telling me how to tell the difference between the immature male and the female. Thanks again Charlie.

just a spot of Chromatic Aberration, (a very slight amount in the blacks) - which I find happens a lot with Dragonfly images
