Blashford Lakes - wildlife images from winter 2011/12

Hi everyone

Just to let you know that I've uploaded around 80 new images (mainly birds, mainly Bittern, and a few other images) to my 'Blashford Lakes Showcase' pages:

The Bitterns were showing well this winter (when they showed at all!)

Some cracking images, from one of my favourate places in the country!

I've spent MANY hours there, Goosander hide mostly, waiting for the Kingfishers. And Only had the pleasure of shooting it once.
Kind of worth it all though!

Thanks Andy - yes, threre's always the chance of a lucky break at Blashford but there's really no substitute for putting the time in!..... some days nothing, other days it all happens (I like those days best! ).

Actually, I was at Blashford today - all morning - and got nothing..... but plenty of birds around, mostly too far away...
