not normally a fan of HDR but thought i'd have a bash in one of them

Number one works me Steve but I'd clone the post out at the front, number two falls into the overcooked category for me, but HDR takes many forms and it is somewhat Marmite. I think it has potential if you crop it to a letterbox pano and lose a lot of grass and a little sky.

Ditto, except that I wouldn't have thought of cloning out the post which I think is a good idea.

For me the purpose of taking a photograph is to produce something that I like - and I don't think that I have yet seen a HDR photo that I really, really like.

Maybe it is a solution is search of a problem.

Thanks .. I know what you mean about the post, but Photoshop is not exactly a strong point with me .. Might have to check out some tutorials

Not sure about the wizzy sky. Makes me feel slightly queasy!

I suspect you needed a longer exposure time to fully blur it and turn in to tones rather than blurred shapes.

I am aware that it is a 10 stop shot. I just think it needed longer to fully blur the sky, or just conventional unfiltered exposure to freeze the clouds. I am not convinced that it works as is.

First one definitely works better for me too

Although I would be interested to see how a different crop or B&W version of the second could work

I love the first, the movement really adds to it. Sorry, not sold on the colour. It looks overdone
