I popped along to Brands today for my bi-annual assault on motorsport. Here are a few from the morning session. Processing might not be to everyone's taste, but I'm just fiddling about, trying new things. Just sharing, really, Critique entirely optional. :)

Cheers, guys. I'm working through a few others. More to come. :)

Processing on #6 was mostly a preset applied within Lightroom called "Glow-Subtle Portrait" by OnOne Software. Other than that, a bit of cropping and adjustments to clarity and saturation. Mind you, the car was a pretty funky/lurid colour to begin with, although shooting through catch fencing at an angle has taken the sting out of it. Here's the before and after versions, cropping aside, which Lightroom doesn't show in the before version.

Here are a few more from the morning. I left before lunch.

Like these a lot - never really used any presets in Lightroom before but will be trying em out.

Number 11 - what processing did you do?

#11 was done with an OnOne preset called "Gritty-Heavy". No other edits apart from a crop.

Not really my cup of tea Tim.... sorry!

Other than CGSE art students, never can figure why all those "arty filters" are included in Adobe products :-/

That's fair enough. I can understand the Marmite appeal. I was just finding the shots SOOC to look rather bland, so I was experimenting with jazzing them up a bit as though destined for a teenager's wall rather than for inclusion in a motorsports publication.
Very interesting set, I'd like to try this sometime.
#2 would look nice on one of my walls!
Thanks, Laurence. That's exactly what I had in mind for these. Here's the original, which just looks dreary to me....

and another "artistic" variation....

The vignette may be a little heavy, which I might adjust, but I like the overall look of the colour treatment.
