Canon 24-105 L lens + lens hood query

At present my above lens has the supplied lens hood EW-83H

I am wondering if there is an alternative hood that could be used, as I feel the petal design of this one does not always work well and lets in a degree of flare at some lengths

The provided peddle hood only works at 24mm.

If you use a different hood that is more effective at longer ranges, you will see edge of the hood at 24mm.

You will see the corners being darker at 24mm with the original hood as well, but thanks to Lightroom it can be corrected easily. Therefore I don't think there is a possibility to use a 'larger' hood improve the longer end without compromising the shorter end.
