Canon 5D sensor clean near hull

Hello there, the boss needs his sensor cleaning and i was wondering if any of you had reccomendations for somewhere up north that does it possibly in yorkshire for speed

Or obviously if you think it better somewhere highly reccomended other than canon perhaps

Can really recommend Canon at Elstree- I know it's a faff but I ha mine serviced and cleaned and it was back via courier in less than a week and that was with mending the main board! I sent it to canon for peace of mind and also because they could give it a thorough check over at the same time. They kept me really well informed by text and email at every stage too. Top Notch all round.
I have heard stories of other firms making sensors more dirty than when they were sent. I have also heard fixation are good but again you will have to send it off. I guess it depends how long your boss can be without for!

You really should try DIY. There are loads of tutorials around. The sensorpen seems pretty idiotproof (I've got one but not put my mental standing to the test just yet).

It's got to be easier (not to mention cheaper) than sending it away.

In the long run, it's easiler and cheaper to do it your self. Clean my 20D and 1D regularly for last couple of years with no problems. Use a wet clean, swob and solution, plus sensor brushes, and as previous comments mentioned, camera sometimes comes back with more $%&@ inside than when it went.(personally avoid dry clean - dust aid not recommended)....

London Camera Exchange offer this facility if you have a local branch as an alternative, but you talking about £30-50 outlay...

I know Dale photographic do it in Leeds, not used them my self for it, but used them before for other things and also brought my visable dust brush there friendly service.
