Cardboard Boxes

I use Postpak (or similar)boxes for most things, they range from about £1.20 to £2.00 for the most useful "small" size, although the size that would hold the A300 and it's box is slighly more expensive.

Post offices usually stock the Postpak brand ones, but there are other slightly cheaper ones available that are just as good.

Hope this is of help: http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1546154&postcount=8

The bigger the outer box (within reason) the better.

It's much better to use an inner box than bubble-wrapping the lens and plonking it in amongst the polystyrene chips.

Use enough packing within the inner box to keep the lens from rattling.

Wrap the lens and its box, to protect from polystyrene beads and dust.

Don't use so much tape around the lens that the recipient will have a tough job removing the packing material.

Enclose a note of thanks, including your address. The address should be both outside and inside the package.
