Casino Royale?

A distorted image of the fanciful details of a 1930s casino at Blackpool, Lancashire, reflected in the tinted glass of a swimming pool. Taken in a howling gale and drizzle at ISO 200, 1/1000 second to avoid shake. I think I need IS!

I like that very much - especially the colours - have you thought about rotating through the vertical axis so the words are more 'readable'?

Thanks Dark Star & Venomator. Yes, I had thought about flipping it but then it would be the right way round in the reflection and even though it would be right it would be wrong, so I thought actually wrong is right, and it all started to make my head hurt... So I didn't :)

Lovely, really like this.
I remember this building from when I visited Blackpool - its uses aside, it's a lovely bit of architechture IMO.

:agree:

Be proud of that one

Great use of selective colouring. (I assume thats in PP, rather than as shot).

As for the writing, I too would have flipped it round, as I did a similar thing in this shot.

I do understand what you mean about not flippping it though, and it being right but wrong but wrong but right..lol (Sound like Vicky Pollard there). It's a bit of a moral / conscience dilemma really.

Marcel, the colouring has certainly been given a bit more "punch" by adjusting Curves, but it mainly comes from the swimming pool's glass being tinted blue and "bronze" (brownish orange). The yellow/white of the light through clouds increased the effect.
