That's quite a bit of sharpening Adrian for ISO800 on the D7000 (and or a very hefty crop)...
My comment would be to make a slight lens or gaussion blur on the background to eliminate all that unnecessary inherited noise from PP. It also looks like the crop is far too much and your IQ has taken quite a big hit from it.
At least opening your aperture to f8 instead of f5.6 would have given you more detail from your lens and then perhaps the crop wouldn't have taken such a hit.
