Comma Butterfly

Another one from yesterday afternoon, now correctly id'd as a comma butterfly .

These were taken using liveview manually focusing. I've been thinking about getting a tripod, but will it actually work for this type of photo. Is it possible to get the tripod set up and the camera aiming in the right direction before the butterfly, dragonfly etc flies off?

Thanks Vi, it was the first time I've seen this butterfly and looked all the way through my butterfly book. I must of missed the page on the comma butterfly's. I thought it just looked a bit like a beatern up tortoise shell.
