It's actually a Common Hawker, which is much harder to capture in flight than a Migrant so +1 from me.

Were there many around? I meant to get to Cannock Chase in August to see some of these but the weather let me down.

There were 4 flying around Womere Pool earlier this week, as well as Black Darters but with colder weather now may be gone.

It is not bad as it is incredibly difficult to get good shots of DIF's ….. but I think that there is one guy, (maybe on here, I think that he is Italian, but I could be wrong), that seems to have "cracked it" … I don't know his secret as I have tried and tried and don't have one shot that I have kept.
