I was really chuffed (and surprised) to have 2 photos picked today for the Sussex Wildlife Trust online calendar. Just wanted to say a big thank you to those of you who said positive things (and gave constructive feedback!) about the frosty river shot on here some time back and have given encouragement to my beginner efforts this year. It gave me the confidence to have a go

Thanks everyone - it's only a small competition I know - but nice to have been chosen. I was surprised at the snail though...I think the focus point is slightly off myself (it was supposed to be on the centre of the whorl), though I liked the colours and textures. They must have been short for September!

Thanks Viv - yours is a very beautiful shot though, and taken with much more technical skill than mine! It's interesting how similar their moods are - thanks for sharing
