the first two are as framed the 3rd cropped from portrait to 4:5 got my levels slightly wrong and the 2;3 format gave me too much water up front I felt

2 and 3 because the head is clear from the branch.
Both, in my eye could be tweaked to enhance the
scene.

That's a very fine way to take water birds!

Thank you Daniel and for the reason especially which I hadn't thought of.Oh and the kind words mate much appreciated. I'd really like to lift the birds face Daniel but don't really feel I have the tools/ability yet,mind as I learn hopefully this side of my learning will improve. At least I can always come back to these Raw's,this digital world does have it's merits
