Had a drive over into the Yorkshire Dales to photograph some of the waterfalls but didn't get to as many as I had planned due to having flu. This was 1 of a few in the area around the small hamlet of Cray, and within easy walking distance of the car. I don't do much in the way of Landscape photography, but the Yorkshire Dales is a place I like, with plenty of photo opportunities around almost every corner.

Great shot! Would love this kind of scenery near myself!

Not brilliant. Do you want some thoughts, or are you the head in the sand type?

The water in the foreground is far too blurred to look comfortable, and it's become ugly in a distracting way. I don't know whether that's an accident or the result of something you've tried to do. It's outside the compass of how we 'read' a scene emotionally, and inconsistent with the rest of the photo. Not that moving water should be dead sharp, ever, which would look equally unnatural.

There seems to be a magenta glow around the lower ashtree branches that could well be chromatic aberration from your lens but I can't enlarge the image enough to tell.

I'm glad you like the place, and the framing isn't bad.
