This is totally outside of my comfort zone and I don't have much, if any, landscape experience.

I'd love some critique on this, even if it's brutal and the shot is garbage.

Shot using a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens.

I had intended to go in and do some macro, hence the lens choice, but found myself capturing the above image instead.

Other may disagree but the second is lacking in nice light for me.

The first shot I love though.
