D7100 digital camera - Firmware Update C 1.02 now available

Already downloaded it, although the bumph on the site says all it's doing is allowing you to use distortion data versions higher than 2.0.0 (the latest version on the Nikon Uk site is 1.009 at the moment). There appears to be a lot of new firmwares gone out for lots of cameras with the same thing (downloaded a new one for the D90 also this morning).

Be careful it don't kill any 3rd party grips you may have.).

Not killed mine, nor batteries - tested all mine already.

Have just done the firmware upgrades on both my D7100 and D90 bodies regardless and happy to report that both cameras third party battery grips are still working as expected. (y)

Should be noted they've issued a firmware update for all the below cameras should anyone not be on the relevant notification list. All seemingly only add the new distortion control compatibility that's not even available yet EXCEPT the D4S one which seems to be a normal firmware upgrade with quite a few things.

All issued today (26-08-14)

The site for Distortion Control Data Version 2 you have posted is linked directly from the firmware update for the D7100 so I'm guessing it must be legit.

Just updated both on my D7100 and no ill effects yet.
