I started my photo journey with an Olympus digital camera for a couple of seasons.. Then on a visit to Dagenham with Accy 17 years ago the official club photographer Dave not only invited me pitch side (I had never done that before) he gave me my first ever go with a DSLR camera ..Within a week I had a canon 10d and a sigma 70-200 ..spent a fortune . Its been a running joke ever since that my wife was after having words with him.. He used to do the programs for the non league playoff finals so I had dealings with him over the years helping out with northern content.. and always enjoyed visits either way... Not seen him for quite a few yrs now but definitely one of the gentlemen of my profession.. ... RIP Dave Simpson

That’s sad news, I too spent a lot to time dealing with Dave when Cambridge United had their non league flirtation.
