Spent the weekend up at my freind's in Dumfries and Galloway who breeds Peregrine Falcon. I was hoping to get out flying with him but sadly the torrential rain stopped play all weekend.
I did mange about 45mins in his garden sat enjoying this chap flitting to and fro on his nut-caching missions. Didn't mind at all that i was sat about 10feet away with my camera and tripod. He flew several times right over the top of my head missing me by about 12 inches on his way to a tree behind me.
A real pleasure to watch (very) close-up.
