I think its a Dolphin:thinking:

Now these things are hard to shoot as they only break the surface for a few seconds and I was bobing up and down on the sea.
I managed to get 3 shots of them breaking the surface but none are great as they were just to quick for me.

Certainly looks like it to me from the size of the fin and the way it's curved back.
A porpoise's fin is smaller and more angular than that i think.
Not the best of angles to identify it.

You've managed to make a good shot out of it though :)
 
On his second surface break again I was to slow to catch his head but got the fin again. Both shots have quite a lot of croping.

They were taken yesterday while out on the sea near Abersoch North Wales.
There is a small island just off the coast with a light house on it. We were fishing in the small channel between the island and the mainland.

Not really a fisherman but we had the chance to take the boat out and the weather was ok, 2 days fishing and caught nothing but a few shots of these things.

I will try again next Monday to catch my lunch.
