I used to have that- but I bought a book - the male common darter is a ruddy red in colour- just in case you spot one (y)

Les :D

I was tempted by a book on Dragonflies but it was titled "Dragonflies" and had a photo of what I'm sure was a Damselfly on the cover (wings folded back along the body)...

Good exposure and nicely parallel to the beasty's body (the angled wings throw the ends nicely OOF) but it needs a little space to move into.

Les i think a book will be purchased :)

Nod, do you mean it needs a little more space all around?

Also thanks for the comments and help :)

Personally, I like mobile subjects to have some space to move into (i.e. in front of them).

ah. OK that makes sense. I will have another look at the image and see what i can do :)
