I think the main thing with this Margaret is the edge of the pond which intersects the birds neck head area. It is very difficult when focusing on the main part of the shot, i.e. the duck, you then forget the background and the effect it has on the image. We all do it, most of the time myself. It is a well exposed shot, but try and get a lower viewpoint next time.

The main thing is that it's not properly in focus and too central in the frame. Needs more space to the left.

Cheers Brash. I will keep practicing . I do have a habit of centralizing whatever i am shooting .
