Watched it from start to finish...comedy genius at its best, today I'm inspired to go dress shopping and let them whiskers flourish in my quest to take better photographs.

another fantastic display of Euro talent and a tribute to the English language which has been our gift to the world

well done Conchita - a magnificent show, you are so talented especially after a bottle of wine …….. but seriously a worthy winner, although Sweden and Poland had their moments.

We watched part of it with our French neighbours over a bottle or two - graciously, the French, (the twins!!), were LAST - one of the few countries to sing in their own language, (what else?) - so that made the evening for us Brits.

What a marvellous way to "spend" millions and millions of Euros?

Have missed out on watching Eurovision due to feeling rough and had an early night, I was going to have a go at watching it but I wasn't too sure if I would have needed to make myself feel even worse and besides my deafness probably wouldn't be able to cope with it.
Now that I've got myself up to speed on it thanks to the likes of facebook and such like . . . what the actual f . . . ? I'm now convinced that what was once used to show off the fledging satellite TV technology in the '60's has now genuinely become as one giant comedy spoof. I thought The Goodies had made a one off special return epsiode starring Bill Oddie's daughter.

In the cold light of things, it does look like naked washboarding and bearded ladies could be the next "in thing".

But all that reminded me of a doodle I did last year . . .

I've seen bits on the news, in magazines and on the internet and the wife had it on when I went to my bed last night when that object was being announced as the winner, that's how I can for an opinion. It's well know the whole set up is a corrupt, shambolic load of tripe.

Really is that called for? Surely in this day and age we should celebrate the variety of life.

So much hatred in this world just because people dare to be different, I am glad she won as it was two fingers up to the likes of you and Russia.

I think that it was won on the merit of the song and the singer

Often countries often play the 'sex card" - e.g. Poland, or have some other angle, the French ……… but the Austrian song was a good song and Conchita sang and presented it well
Don't knock the guy ….. it is part of 'our" democracy which allows "free speech" as illustrated above

Aye right:rolleyes: It's my opinion. You don't have to agree with it and I don't really care too much. Christ knows what hatred and Russia have got to do with anything. You're reading stuff into my comments that don't exist. A a bearded lady???? I really just don't get it.

You called her a freak which is hatred in my opinion. And if you had been watching it you would of clearly made the connection between this act and showing Russia up for the horrible attitudes to people who are different (although everyone is different).

Now saying "A bearded lady??? I really don't get it" then fair enough if you cannot grasp the message behind it.
