Didn't know if this should be in Birds or here so feel free to move if necessary.

Amazing day out here on Saturday and the first time I've ever tried birds in flight. Not easy.

I can highly recommend Wild if you're in the area. The largest free flying display of birds in the world apparently.

Quite happy with how they turned out as the light wasn't the greatest and I don't have exactly the world's best long zoom lens (Olympus 40-150 R)

Feel free to critiques as I'm sure I have a great deal to learn.

Some are heavy crops as well. Need a longer lens really. Certainly a faster one.

You did really well for the first attempt Terry.
Great set (y)

IBPC (international bird of prey centre) I often went to but I believe it has closed down now. Eagle heights in kent is our nearst one now. I won't post photos as it is your thread . What I can tell is a true funny story about one of my visits with my then manageress Dawn

We had been taking photos and stopped when the flight demos did between demos. So there we were sitting at a table with coffee and snacks and this man and woman sat on the table next to us. Well this man was giving it to his wife about buying a Nikon camera for the visit and how useless it was. He went on and on ranting about should have bought a decent Canon camera instead, all in the cafe could hear him.

Dawn lent over and said that she had a Canon camera but I had a Nikon which she uses sometimes as well. Dawn said could she have a look to see what the problem was. This man handed over the camera and Dawn said could she have the battery as well to try the camera out. By this time everyone was listening and the man exploded in fury. He yelled at his wife "you never told me it needed a battery".Dawn gave him back the camera and he stormed out of the cafe with is wife following on behind. All in the cafe had a good laugh. Obviously he had not checked beforehand
As I said this actually happened, one of those times you never forget.
