Put it up John, it helps to be in the the right place at the right time, doesn't always happen that way.No need for apologies Denis - certainly not to me anyway.
Nice sharp images by the way. I got both male & female at the weekend (VERY similar shot with a green caterpillar too!!) but I was using the old 7D and a only a 300mm, so nothing like as good as these as I was too far away. I'll add her in here for a comparison if you wish? Trust me, she will make yours look even better!
The male is definitely the pick of the two Stan, but does the female shot look a bit on the warm side ?It's a poor shot, focus is slightly off and it's cropped to hell because I was too far away, but here's the comparison:
Got the male too and although the focus is ok, I was still too far away and had to crop too much (I'm too used to having 1000mm to play with!):
