Hi georgebou, when shooting fireworks for the best effect is to use a long exposure to record all the light bursts, or on bulb (Manual) mode holding a black card between fireworks, you'll need a tripod for that, were these handheld at 1/4 sec ?

Hi George ... I can see what you were trying to achieve. As George says you need a tripod, a blackcard and long exposures for the best effects. However, if the display is intensive with concentrated bursts, then exposures between 1/4 - 1/1 sec at f/11. Longer exposures may reveal interesting background features such as city lights and building silhouettes, etc.
